The 6th Annual Desert Harvesters Mesquite Milling Fiesta and Mesquite Pancake Breakfast will be held at the Dunbar/Spring Organic Community Garden, corner of 11^th Ave. & University Blvd., Tucson on November 8.  The  pancake breakfast will be from 9 AM to 12 PM with milling from 8 AM to 2 PM. Whole wheat mesquite pancakes will be served made with all organic local ingredients with organic wheat from Crooked Sky Farm in Glendale, AZ. Breakfast ($1 per pancake) includes prickly pear, mesquite, and possibly saguaro syrups or agave nectar, drinks. There will also be live music, playground, raffle, sale of local, organic and wild foods & herbal medicines. This is the annual fund raiser for Desert Harvesters. There will be a milling fee of $3 up to 3 gallons of mesquite pods.  More information can be found at www.desertharvesters.org.
